1st Annual Naukabout Music Festival of Cape Cod
Company Sponsors Music Festival in Support of the Elias Fund Children’s Charity
Cape Cod, Massachusetts, August 2008 – Naukabout, a lifestyle clothing company that offers active/lifestyle/casual clothing for men, women and children, is excited to announce their 1st Annual Naukabout Music Festival of Cape Cod, to be held at The Barnstable County Fairgrounds on Saturday, August 16th, 2008, at 12:30 p.m.. Tickets are $24 online, $30 at the gate.
The name Naukabout is derived from a concept tracing back to the owner’s childhood, and embodies one’s most memorable moments, places and life adventures. The impetus of the music festival and the clothing line itself has been many years in the making. “Twenty years ago, my father would come home from work and change into his most comfortable clothes, his ‘naukabouts’,” said Adam Conley, director of Operations for Naukabout. “Translating those moments spent with Dad into a branded apparel line came about very naturally. Our commitment to the quality of the product was born out of our loyalty to the concept.”
With the upcoming festival, the company founders are looking to perpetuate a social community that is brought together by, and comprised of, Naukabout moments and ideals. The one day, rain or shine outdoor event will be raising money for The Elias Fund, a non-profit organization that provides hope and opportunity to Zimbabwean youth. The festival will feature the music of The Rustic Overtones, Braddigan from Dispatch, Ryan Montbleau Band, The Old Silver Band, Barefoot Truth, Tin Can Tele, The Pete & Mike Band and Jim Decatur. Also featured will be Cisco Brewery, Peak Brewery, Island Merchant BBQ, The Burrito Bus, Hyannis Ice Cream, Bear Naked, BBC Chowder and much more.
