Naukabout 4th Annual Festival of Cape Cod
The Naukabout, the 4th Annual Festival of Cape Cod returns to the Barnstable
County Fairgrounds in Falmouth on Saturday, August 6, 2011, from 12:30 p.m. to
10:00 p.m. The 2011 event will celebrate New England’s homegrown music
scene with a line-up of the region’s rising talent, headlined by the Ryan
Montbleau Band. Tickets for The Naukabout are on sale now at www.naukabout.com
and are $27 in advance, $37 day of show at the gate. Children under 12 will be
admitted free although donations will be accepted at the gates for the
designated charities of Naukabout Gives. Gates open at 12:30PM.
In addition to the headlining set from the Ryan Montbleau Band, the Naukabout
Festival will feature continuous music all day long including sets from Zach
Deputy, Will Dailey and the Rivals, Barefoot Truth, Adam Ezra Group, Jason
Spooner Trio, Sarah Blacker and the Jackson Wetherbee Band. In addition, the
lineup will include two bands from Cape Cod, Funktapuss and Highly Suspect.
“This year, The Naukabout will be better than ever! Ryan Montbleau has been
part of the festival since we started it and has proven to be our biggest draw
each year. He will deliver a show to remember,” said Jeff Conley, festival
organizer. “We’ve gone to great lengths to make this year’s Naukabout a
celebration of local music and to provide exposure for bands emerging in our
backyard and all of the acts at this year’s festival are incredible live
performers.”
In an effort to highlight other bands in the New England music scene, festival
organizers have added a “Busking Stage” just inside the main gates, where bands
will play stripped down sets to the crowd as they enter or leave the facility,
and in between main stage sets. This year’s festival will also include
Naukabout Pick’s, an area dedicated to local bands who have been invited to
showcase their music and merchandise on-site.
